Jan Blaustein Scholes, Advisory Board Member brings to PureSense a sharp, extremely intelligent and experienced view of what it takes to build a formidable company facing the challenges of an emerging market. Jan is an investor in diverse companies, many aligned by a focus on fiscally viable environmentally inspired value propositions; she is also on the forefront of efforts to reinforce the benefits of diversity in senior management.

For 20 years Jan was General Counsel of Babcock & Brown, and a key contributor to the transition of its early 'startup' status into a major global investment banking company. Prior to Babcock & Brown, Jan was a Partner at Heller, Ehrman specializing in partnership and international taxation.

She graduated with a Bachelor degree in Chinese Language and Literature from University of Michigan and with a Juris Doctor degree from Boalt Hall School of Law. She is also a former member of the California Law Review.
